Documents update

We have recently updated a few key documents that you may find helpful; these and all other marketing and administrative documentation are available on the secured Advisor’s site.

 

Administrative Guide – Medical Underwriting and New Business

This guide now contains advisors’ most frequently asked questions, making it more comprehensive. Consult it on the secured Advisor’s site under the “Reference Manual” tab in the “Medical Underwriting and New Business” section.

Critical Illness Insurance – Family History Table

This document has been updated and is now available under the “Risk Selection” tab on the secured Advisor’s site. This useful tool will provide you with an indication on how the underwriting of a critical illness application will go, based on the client’s family history. You will be able to better assess whether an application will be accepted, rated or denied, which will allow you to manage your client’s expectation prior to submitting the application.

Preferred Risks – Classification Criteria

This reference document provides an overview of the preferred risk criteria for different smoking and non smoking classes. This document is available under the “Preferred Risks” tab on the secured Advisor’s site.

Other updates

The “Declaration of Insurability” and “Assignment of the Contract” forms have also been updated and are available under the “Forms” tab on the secured Advisor’s site.

Reminder: Insurance Application and Electronic Express Application – version 2013-05

Remember that previous versions of the Insurance Application (FIND0035A) and the Electronic Express Application (291078A) are no longer accepted as of July 2, 2013.

Please, make sure to download version 2.1 of the Illustration Software available since May 21, 2013 in order to obtain the most recent copy of the Electronic Express Application as part B has been modified. We ask that you dispose of any previous versions of the Insurance Application that you may still have as well as any versions of the signature pages (Part B) that you may have pre-printed prior to May 2013. As for the Insurance Application (FIND0035A), you can order the recent version (2013-05) using the “Printed Documents Order Form” available via the Illustration Software or on the secured Advisor’s site.

Policy Change form – version 2013-05

Please note that we will accept all previous versions of the Policy Change form (FIND0083A) received at our offices until August 2, 2013. After this date, all previous versions will not be accepted and no exceptions will be made. The new version (2013-05) of the Policy Change form will be ready for order as of July 23, 2013 using the “Printed Documents Order Form”.
