Changes to the statement of investments
SSQ Financial Group is making changes to the Statement of Investments for RRIFs and/or LIFs as of January 1, 2018.
The changes are:
- The confirmation of payment options for 2018 will now be included in each statement, starting with the one covering the period from January 1 to December 31, 2017. By integrating this new information, the individual confirmation letter (paper or digital) to customers and their advisors will no longer be necessary.
- The new Information on available payments section will provide the following information:
- account balance as at December 31
- minimum amount paid to the customer
- maximum amount that can be paid to the customer (in the case of LIFs) and the requested amount
- The Information on available payments section will be available on the annual January 1 to December 31 statements only.
- Information related to the confirmation of payment options for RRIF and/or LIF plans will appear in the Notes section of the statement.
Please note that you can access your clients' investment statements at any time on our secure website.
