Remuneration tax slips

We wish to inform you that from now on tax slips will be issued for all independent advisors, registered firms or legally established companies who received remuneration from SSQ, Life Insurance Company Inc. (distribution of Segregated Funds, Annuities and GIAs) and SSQ, Insurance Company Inc. (distribution of Individual Life & Health Insurance).

Tax slips will be issued in the name of the intermediary to whom remuneration has been paid. This change will be effective for the 2015 tax year.

Advisors part of a FundSERV agency (investment products only) will not receive tax slips from SSQ for segregated fund commissions.

TAX SLIP DISTRIBUTION

Tax slips will be available electronically through your secure website access by the end of February. No slip will be sent by mail.

Tax slips for investors - investment products

Following the management system change this past November, some changes will apply to investor’s tax slips.

Exceptionally, investors may receive two separate receipts. For example, this will be the case for RRSP contributions tax slips, if the investor made contributions during these two periods: the March 3 – November 6, 2015, period and for the November 7 – December 31, 2015, period.

Investors impacted will receive a notice to this effect with their tax slips.
