Presenting Jean-François Chalifoux, SSQ Financial Group’s new CEO

After taking office on September 21, 2015, the new chief executive officer of SSQ Financial Group is getting down to work with a clear vision for the Company.

His priorities are as follows:

• Using technology to meet the expectations of our customers and business partners

• Stepping up growth across Canada while developing markets such as individual savings, which is a source of immense potential for an insurer with SSQ Financial Group’s expertise, financial strength and adaptability

• Creating an optimal customer experience by providing quality service and outstanding efficiency during every customer interaction

• Continuing to offer a comprehensive range of products that meet the needs of our various clients

Jean-François has held a number of executive positions with major pan-Canadian insurers, both in general insurance and life and health insurance. Until very recently, he was responsible for the overall strategic direction of a life and health insurer and oversaw its business development activities across Canada. He has sat on several boards and committees associated with the insurance and financial services industry, and has supported numerous projects addressing the well-being and development of individuals and communities. Jean-François holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences, is a Fellow of both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society, and is a graduate of the Queen’s Executive Development Program.
