Dates to remember - 2013 RRSP campaign

To ensure that your clients' RRSP contributions are applied to 2012, the following dates must be respected:
For regular individual contributions
Advisors must receive contributions no later than March 1, 2013, and must forward them to SSQ by March 4, 2013 at the latest. Postmark dates of March 4, 2013, will serve as proof of mailing.
In cases where Advisors do business through an agency, it is the agency’s responsibility to ensure that contributions are received by SSQ no later than March 6, 2013, (March 1 + 3 business days for processing). Please note that documents and cheques must be dated no later than March 1, 2013.
For SSQ RRSP loan applications
Completed SSQ RRSP loan applications must be received by the Advisor no later than March 1, 2013.
Advisors must fax these applications to SSQ by March 1, 2013 midnight, at the latest. Fax date and time will serve as proof of sending. If the application is incomplete, it will not be possible to apply the contribution toward a 2012 RRSP.
