Shoveling the right way

When lifting the snow off the ground, bend with your knees and use your legs instead of your arms. And arm yourself with an ergonomic shovel to avoid potential back injuries.

Using de-icing salts that contain a balanced formula helps your plants and lawn look healthier come spring. When spreading the salts, do it in moderation because the ingredients they contain can prevent your plants from absorbing all the water and minerals they need.
