We are pleased to inform you that we are changing our underwriting requirements for the better for life and critical illness insurance, specifically for higher insurance amounts. We also relaxed the requirements for older clients. These new requirements will reduce requests for medical exams and inspection reports and therefore expedite new business processing.

Amendment of regulations applicable to money laundering

On February 13, 2013, the Government of Canada adopted new requirements amending the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Regulations. These new requirements will be in effect on February 1, 2014, and will apply to life insurance companies and their independent representatives.
